SENIOR DIRECTOR, GLOBAL BENEFITS

Are you a Benefits Director with a minimum of 10 years experience managing employee benefits programs, most recently for a large global organization? Duties:
You will be responsible for the leadership and strategic implementation of benefits for all team members throughout the U.S. and internationally.
  • Directs the analyses, plan designs and implementation of all benefits programs.
  • Directs the administration of 401(k) plan, executive plans and frozen pension plan.
  • Leads the benefits department team members to support organizational goals. Maintains regular and positive communication. Interviews, selects, coaches, conducts performance reviews and supervises department team members in multiple locations.
  • Conducts regular financial reviews and analyzes findings. Communicates results to applicable executive staff. Makes cost containment and benefit enhancement recommendations.
  • Maintains open communication and supervises all benefits vendors, outside auditors and actuaries. Acts as liaison with outside attorneys, consultants, vendors and bank Trustees.
  • Manages RFP process and leads negotiations with vendors.
  • Manages ERISA filings, 5500’s, PBGC, QDRO’s, QMCSO, PWBA, IRS determination letters, pension plan administration, audits and legal compliance.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • 10 years experience in the area of employee benefits management including multi-state and international.
  • Successful leadership experience in corporate HR or regional HR leadership role with a significant span of control.
  • Demonstrated success with design and implementation of global benefits programs including plan design, administration, RFP, vendor selection, and negotiation experience.
  • Project management experience in large scale benefits implementation.
  • Expert knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • PeopleSoft experience a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Union-related benefits experience a big plus.
Bachelors degree required; Advanced degree and/or professional benefits certifications preferred. Compensation package includes competitive base salary plus bonus and stock.

SENIOR DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE HUMAN RESOURCES

Picture this....in your first three months you will work with corporate senior management of this LA-based $4 billion international company to assess their current staffing model and begin to develop long term sourcing and retention strategies. You will take that strategy and, working with the recruiting and design teams, implement programs and processes to drive the strategy.
